What to Include When Reporting a Problem

The more of this you can tell us, the faster we can reproduce and fix the issue:

Common Topics

Importing a script

You can import your sides as a PDF or by taking a photo. ScriptReady reads the file and turns it into an editable script, so you can correct anything the import got wrong before you rehearse. If characters, dialogue, or stage directions came through in the wrong place, edit the script in the app first — and if a particular file consistently imports badly, email it to us and we will look at it.

AI scene partners

Every character other than yours can be read aloud in a natural AI voice, so you can rehearse alone. AI voice usage is metered against your account’s AI voice credits. If a voice will not play, check that your device is not muted, that ScriptReady has not been silenced by your device’s ringer switch or focus mode, and that you have a working internet connection — the voices are generated online.

Teleprompter

The teleprompter listens as you speak and scrolls in time with your delivery, so you do not have to tap mid-scene. It needs microphone permission to follow along. If scrolling does not track you, confirm that microphone access is granted to ScriptReady in your device settings, and that you are reading the character you selected for yourself.

Self-tape recording

You can record, review, and re-take your audition in the same place you rehearsed it. Recording needs camera and microphone permission. Recordings are stored on your device; if you turn on cloud sync, a copy is uploaded temporarily so it can transfer between your own devices and is deleted automatically 3 days after download. If a take will not record, check camera and microphone permissions first, then free storage space on the device.

Sharing a script with a reader

You can generate a share link for a script, choose which character or characters the other person should read, how many takes they may record, and when the link expires. Your reader opens the link, records the lines for the character you assigned, and sends them back to you. Share links are the only way your script content leaves your account — nothing is shared until you deliberately create and send one. If a reader says a link does not work, confirm it has not expired and generate a new one.

Account, sign-in, and credits

ScriptReady requires an account, and you sign in with Google or Apple. If you cannot sign in, or your credits or purchases do not look right, email support@scriptready.app from the address on your account and describe what you are seeing.

Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and its data from inside the app, or request deletion by email if you no longer have access to it. Full instructions are on our Delete Your Account page.

Privacy and Terms

How we handle your scripts, recordings, and personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. The rules for using ScriptReady are in our Terms of Service.
