Our Policy

ScriptReady, operated by 380 Productions Inc., respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. Scripts, sheet music, lyrics, and other material uploaded to ScriptReady are stored privately in the uploading user's account and are not publicly distributed by us.

We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. It is our policy to remove or disable access to material we believe in good faith to be infringing, and to terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.

Designated Copyright Agent

Notices of claimed infringement should be sent to our designated agent:

Submitting a Takedown Notice

To be effective under § 512(c)(3), your notice must be a written communication that includes substantially all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notice.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it.
  4. Your contact information — address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. We aim to acknowledge properly submitted notices within 2 business days and to act on them promptly.

Counter-Notification

If your material was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the agent above containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or, if outside the United States, any district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order.

Repeat Infringers

We maintain and enforce a repeat-infringer policy. Accounts that are the subject of repeated, valid notices of infringement will be terminated, and the associated content removed. We consider the number and validity of notices received, whether counter-notifications were filed, and the user's overall conduct on the service.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please consider whether the use may be authorized or otherwise lawful before submitting a notice.
